Sherman's march toward Atlanta was halted at Kennesaw Mountain by the weather, the terrain and the tenacious resistance of the veteran Army of Tennessee. This book describes the tactical maneuvering and brutal battles between Sherman's Federals and Johnston's Confederates by utilizing hundreds of participants' diaries, letters, journals, memoirs and reports. 205 pages, 175 B&W photos, 8½"x 11", softcover.
