The Battle of Shiloh also known as Pittsburg Landing
was fought in Harden County, Tennessee on April 6-7, 1862. Commanding
Union forces was Maj. Gen. Ulysses S. Grant
and Maj. Gen. Don Carlos Buell. Commanding Confederate forces were Gen.
Albert Sidney Johnston and Gen. P.G.T.
Beauregard. This Battle resulted in a Union victory after heavy
