This reproduction of an 1862 map published by E. & G.W. Blunt shows fortifications, roads, railroads, towns, the street pattern of Charleston, drainage, vegetation and ship channels. Measures 19½"x 17".

 

 

1862 Southern States Colored Map
Recreated from a print at the Library of Congress Archives, this "snapshot" of the South during the Civil War shows railroads, railway stations, forts and battlefields, state boundaries, rivers, and towns as they were in 1862. It also includes descriptive text detailing sites along the southeastern coast. 48"x 34" map is printed on heavyweight stock and is suitable for framing.

On the reverse: A history and detailed sketch map of the unfinished railroad, the principal tactical feature of the Second Manassas battle.
