Berdan’s Sharpshooters Firing Set

Founded by world renowned marksman Hiram Berdan and armed with Spencer breechloaders, the 1st and 2nd U.S. Sharpshooters Regiments – known as “Berdan’s Sharpshooters” – were comprised of expert Union marksmen who operated in small teams, using stealth and cover while trying to maintain distance from the enemy.

General Thomas "Stonewall" Jackson - who, considered to be one of the most gifted tactical commanders in U.S. history, was accidentally shot by Confederate pickets at the Battle of Chancellorsville on May 2, 1863, and died of pneumonia eight days later - is historically accurate right down to the realistic cap and field uniform (Jackson often wore old, worn-out clothes rather than a fancy uniform).
