The historic Jacob Weikert Farm was witness to
the Battle of Gettysburg in 1863. The Jacob Weikert farm is located between Little Round
top and Big Round top. It sits on the Eastern slope of the round tops, about three miles south of
town. On July 1, 1863 more than 20 people occupied this house, including
Tillie Pierce who wrote one of
the most famous eyewitness accounts of the Battle of Gettysburg titled,
"At Gettysburg, or What a Girl Saw and Heard of the Battle".
