Jennie Wade Monument.

The Jennie Wade monument is located in Gettysburg's Evergreen Cemetery. Here you will find the Jennie Wade Monument and Jennie's gravesite. At only 20 years old, Jennie was shot and killed on July 3, 1863 during the 3rd day of the battle. This was her third and final resting place. Erected in 1900, the monument was unveiled on September 16, 1901 during a ceremony which replaced a simple tombstone. A flag flies 24 hours a day at Jennie Wade's grave. The only other woman that shares this distinction is Betsy Ross. The Jennie Wade monument is a must see for anyone traveling to historic Gettysburg!
