Notes: Famous heroine, Mary Virginia Wade was born in this
house at 242-246 Baltimore Street.
This house was built between 1814 and 1820. The Wade family rented the
northern half from a tailor named John Pfoutz. John was using the southern
side for his shop.
An addition was added in 1870 which
included a kitchen.
The Wade family never owned this house.
